The Editographer came about during the Blink Conference 2015, held in Austin, TX. During the small group session that I participated in with Shannon Se well, she challenged all of us in the room to really think about where our gifts lie. After some thought, it dawned on me that one of my true gifts had nothing to do with photography, and everything to do with writing and editing. Don't get me wrong, I love photography, and am passionate about it, but if I really dug deep, the other things that I've always been fond of were writing and reading. I was the kid that read the sides of cereal boxes for fun, and whose mother lived to torture me with the "to, too, two" game. (If you've never heard of or played it, let me know, and I'll demonstrate.) The sole reason this business exists is to help photographers put their best foot forward when it comes to their written collateral.
As a photographer, I've heard for years now that photographers just don't like to write, don't have the time to write, or if they do, they don't have the time to double check their work before they hit the "publish" button. With years of academics under my belt, a penchant for a red pen and the "Track Changes" feature in Microsoft Word, and 5 years of continuous professional experience in which proper grammar and spelling remained paramount to my success, I come well-equipped and well-prepared to help you edit the materials that are important to your business: your written collateral. It is often the first thing that potential clients see outside of the home page of your website, and I cannot wait to make your words come alive on the pages of your work.
